Information for students from the Ocean University of China (OUC)

The educational programme is open to master’s students who have successfully completed their first year in one of the marine related postgraduate programmes at the OUC and want to join a study abroad at the University of Bremen. They can apply for admission into one of four English-language master's programmes at the University of Bremen:

  • Marine Biology
  • Environmental Physics
  • Marine Geosciences
  • International Studies in Aquatic Tropical Ecology (ISATEC)

If the students meet the entry requirements, there are two possibilities for the study abroad:

  • Candidates complete the first two terms in one of the above listed master’s programmes

Upon successful completion of the courses, students will receive a certificate of Academic Record from the host university, which is recognized by the OUC. The exchange study will be both initiated as well as completed at the home institution. In addition to the documents issued by the OUC, graduating students will also be awarded a certificate signed by both universities indicating the completion of the Master of Science Double Degree.

  • Candidates successfully complete the entire two-year master's programme at the University of Bremen and will be awarded the degree "Master of Science" by the host university.
