The English-language Master Program in Marine Sciences is offered by the Universities of Bremen and Kiel, the ZMT and the IFM-GEOMAR in Germany, and the Ocean University of China (OUC) in Qingdao.
Students of the three universities involved are given the chance to participate in a funded, two-term study program at the partner university abroad. Upon successful completion of the one-year study abroad program, graduates will receive a certificate and proof of performance from the host university.
During the implementation phase, the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China awarded grants covering the annual travel and living costs for selected students.
