Master´s Students
Several English-language master’s study programmes in different disciplines of marine sciences offer students a one or two-term study at the respective partner university abroad. Upon successful completion graduates will receive a certificate of academic record from the host university.
What are the advantages of going abroad?
Participation in this international education programme has many advantages from technical, linguistic and personal aspects, including:
- the option of a double-degree for students of the OUC and the University of Bremen staying abroad for two terms
- international experience without loss of time within the regular master’s programme
- interdisciplinary studies in the field of marine sciences
- an additional language qualification in English, and Chinese or German
- the exposure to the culture and life style of the host country
- the forging of new contacts and continuous exchange of experience within the Alumni-Network
- improved opportunities in the employment market
How about money?
Students have the possibility to apply for grants to cover travel expenses and the stay abroad, e.g. to the China Scholarship Council or the DAAD.
For the study, beginning in the winter term 2012/13 the OUC has already announced 15 grants from the China Scholarship Council for students of the German partner universities!
